Chama-se «Christine» e é um Plymouth Fury de 1958. Carpenter filmou-o em 1983, baseado num conto de Stephen King, e eu vi-o no Cinema Roma, em toda a largura do seu antigo écran. E foi a personagem de Harry Dean Stanton quem melhor o definiu, nesta frase eventualmente chocante:

"My asshole brother bought her back in September '57. That's when you got your new model year, in September. Brand-new, she was. She had the smell of a brand-new car. That's just about the finest smell in the world, 'cept maybe for pussy".
